Welcome to Hanoi – The capital of Vietnam.
Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our friendly guide who will assist you with your transfer to your accommodation.
After checking in, take the rest of the day to unwind or explore Hanoi at your own pace. Stroll through the bustling streets, sample local delicacies, or relax at one of the city’s charming cafes.

Hanoi City tour Halong
After breakfast, start your day with a guided tour of Hanoi’s top attractions. Visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, dating back to 1070. You’ll also explore the Ho Chi Minh Complex, including the revered Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the iconic One Pillar Pagoda, a symbol of Hanoi. Continue to Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest Buddhist temple in the city, located on the serene West Lake.
In the afternoon, leave the city behind and embark on the scenic drive to Halong Bay, famous for its emerald waters and limestone islands.
Upon arrival at Tuan Chau Island, check into your hotel and enjoy free time at your leisure. Consider joining an optional Dinner on Halong Bay Cruise for a unique dining experience.

Start your day with breakfast before heading to Halong Harbor for a private junk cruise through the bay’s stunning limestone formations. Explore Dau Go Cave, rich in historical significance, before visiting the newly discovered Thien Cung Cave, known for its impressive stalagmites and stalactites.
Enjoy a delicious seafood lunch on board as you sail through the tranquil waters.
Return to Tuan Chau Harbor and drive back to Hanoi. Enjoy your evening at leisure or opt for a guided street food tour, tasting local specialties like Banh Mi and Egg Coffee.

Hanoi Da Nang Hoi An
Enjoy free time in the morning before departing Hanoi for your flight to Danang.
Upon arrival, you will be transfered to the UNESCO World Heritage listed town of Hoi An.
Explore Hoi An on foot, visiting an old merchant’s home, Hoi An Market, a local Chinese temple and the Japanese Covered Bridge.
The bridge was first constructed here in the 1590s by the Japanese community to link them with the Chinese quarters. Over the centuries the ornamentation has remained relatively faithful to the original Japanese design.

Take advantage of a free day to explore Hoi An at your own pace.
Wander through the vibrant streets, relax at a riverside café, or visit one of the many tailor shops. Alternatively, join an optional tour to Ba Na Hills and walk across the famous Golden Bridge, an architectural wonder with panoramic views.

On arrival at the foot of Ba Na Mountain, we’ll travel by cable car up to the Marseille station. Then it’s a short walk to the Golden Bridge which appears to be lifted by two “hands of the Gods”. When you’re on the bridge, you’ll feel like you’re walking on the clouds.
Time for taking photos of the breathtaking view. Afterwards, it’s on to a romantic flower garden – Le Jardin D’Amour. The 9 gardens are 9 stories in 9 unique architectural styles.
Next, it’s time to visit Linh Ung Pagoda to admire its sophisticated architecture and the 27m high Shakyamuni statue.
Finally, we’ll catch the cable car down the hill for the transfer back to Hoi An.

As Vietnam’s largest outdoor visual art-show, Hoi An Memories is guaranteed to amaze. Featuring 500 performers and superb choreography, this open-air theatrical extravaganza tells the story of Hoi An throughout its 400 years of history while shining the spotlight on the traditional ao dai costume and the charming beauty of Vietnamese women.
Right in front of your eyes, Hoi An will transform from a small farming village to an international trading port where East meets West.

Hoi An
Another day to soak up the beauty of Hoi An. You can continue exploring its picturesque streets or choose from a variety of optional tours.

You’ll be picked up at your hotel for a 40-kilometre drive to My Son Sanctuary, a World
Heritage Site. On arrival, get ready to be absolutely astounded by the abandoned and partially ruined Hindu temples constructed by the kings of the Champa era.
After, we’ll return to Hoi An for a cruise down the Thu Bon River. Enjoy the peaceful and scenic views before stopping off at the famous traditional, Thanh Ha Pottery Village where you’ll get to see the villagers’ daily life.

Hoi An Da Nang Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast, enjoy some free time before your flight to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s bustling southern metropolis.
Upon arrival, embark on an orientation tour of the city. Visit the War Remnants Museum to learn about Vietnam’s recent history, stop by the Reunification Palace, and admire the neo-Romanesque Notre Dame Cathedral. Don’t miss the Central Post Office, Opera House, and City Hall, showcasing French colonial architecture.
Conclude your day at Ben Thanh Market, where you can shop for local handicrafts and souvenirs.

Dinner on Saigon River Cruise offers an opportunity to witness another side of Saigon. The city is not only a bustling metropolis but also a romantic land. Ho Chi Minh City Optional tour to Mekong Delta

Discover the vibrant culture of the Delta, famous for its floating markets, lush fruit orchards, and intricate canal systems.

You will realise quickly why cruising along the Mekong Delta on a boat should be on everyone’s bucket list when travelling to Vietnam.
It is called “The Rice Bowl of Vietnam” because it offers a wide selection of cultural activities including local handcraft and coconut pressing workshops with villagers, cycling through lush rice fields along the water, as well as some down-time chilling in a hammock.
You will also be treated to an authentic lunch.
<!–Mekong Delta is known as “The Rice Bowl of Vietnam” and offers a real experience to the tropical culture of locals. This trip will take you to visit local workshops, a handicraft village and get a unique experience with local activities. Be ready to sail through the coconut trees and take a nap on a hammock in a garden filled with bird chirps and fresh breeze.
You will be picked up at your hotel then take a 1.5-hour transfer to Ben Tre River. Embark on a cruise to brickwork, a coconut processing workshop and a local village making sleep mattresses along the Mekong Delta. Continue taking a motor cart (xe loi) or cycling through the green rice fields and vegetable plains. After lunch, get back to Hung Vuong Pier for returning to Saigon.

Ho Chi Minh City Cu Chi Tunnels {Plane} Home
Spend a leisurely morning in Ho Chi Minh City before checking out of your hotel. In the afternoon, visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an intricate network of tunnels used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War. This historical site offers a glimpse into the challenging conditions faced by soldiers and the strategic importance of the tunnels.
Later in the day, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your return flight to Australia.

Flight Information
This package includes return flights from Sydney/Melbourne.
Flights from Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth attract a $400 surcharge.
Airline Selection: We book the best available airlines for your journey, which may include a mix of full-service and low-cost carriers. Specific airline requests can be made at the time of purchase. This includes upgrades to your preferred carrier, premium economy or business class cabins or specific seats. Whilst we will try our best, not all requests can be confirmed.
Flight Conditions: Flights may not be direct and could involve a maximum of two transits.
Ticketing Information: Once issued, tickets are non-refundable. Changes are subject to airline rules, airline change fees, and an AVG Travels change fee of $250 per person.
Passenger Details: Please ensure all traveller names are as per passports. This includes all middle names. Errors may incur a name change fee of $150 plus airline charges, or require the purchase of a new ticket.
Flight Schedule Changes: Any changes or cancellations to airline schedules are outside our control. We recommend staying updated with airline schedules before departure. Additional expenses for extended transits or alternative arrangements are the traveller’s responsibility.
Internal Airfares: Local flights included in your itinerary may utilise low-cost carriers without meals or entertainment. Checked baggage is included; any additional baggage fees are payable at check-in.
Booking Considerations: If travelling with others on separate bookings, we may not be able to guarantee all flights are the same due to availability.
Luggage and Fees: You are responsible for your luggage at all times. Excess baggage fees, if incurred, are payable directly to the airline. All tickets will include 20 kg checked baggage per person, plus 7 kg of hand luggage. We recommend travelling with a max 20kg per person due to restrictions on internal flights (where applicable), as well as coach and train transportation. Please note, you will be responsible for handling your luggage at all times as the services of porters are not included.
No-Show Policy: Missing your flight may result in fees including a no-show fee, airline reissue fee, and possible new ticket purchase. AVG Travels charge a $250 admin fee for re-booking assistance.
Price Adjustments: Prices are final at the time of ticketing. Any subsequent changes may result in additional costs due to factors beyond our control, such as currency fluctuations or airline surcharges.

Tipping
A friendly reminder that tipping is not included in your package. Please be advised that tipping for tour guides, drivers and bellmen are required and will be collected by your travel consultant 7 days before you depart. A gratuity of $10 per person/day can make a big difference to locals employed in the tourism industry as they have done an impeccable job to serve you through your holiday.

Visa & Passport information
It is the traveller’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport. The passport must be valid for a minimum of six months from the intended date of return and must have more than 2 blank pages. Visa conditions are subject to change at short notice, so it is the responsibility of the traveller to consult with the relevant consulates to ensure they have the appropriate visa for entry to the countries being visited.
