Welcome to Tokyo, Japan!
Upon arrival into Tokyo, clear customs and immigration. you will be met by your transfer driver who will drive you the short distance to the joining hotel.

From Narita Airport, take the free shuttle to the hotel from Terminal 1 #16 or Terminal 2 #26. The hotel is a 15 minute drive.
Depending on the time of your departure flight, the start date of your tour may be the day prior.
Tokyo
Today we explore some of the highlights of Tokyo. Our first stop is Odaiba, an island in Tokyo Harbour where we will see
the Rainbow Bridge and the Statue of Liberty replica.
From here, we head to the iconic Tsukiji Fish Outer Market, which is a bustling street market selling a variety of seafood, produce, and other goods. Visitors can enjoy fresh sushi, sashimi,
and other seafood delicacies in the many restaurants and food stalls around the area.
Our exploration of Tokyo continues at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, where we will ascend to the 200m
high observation deck for sweeping views of the endless metropolis.
Later, stroll through Sensoji, otherwise known as Asakusa Kannon Temple. Sensoji is a popular destination for visitors
who come to see its colourful entrance gate, called the Kaminarimon, which is adorned with a large lantern and two
statues of the Shinto gods Fujin and Raijin. After passing through the gate, visitors walk along a crowded shopping street
called Nakamise-dori, which is lined with vendors selling traditional Japanese souvenirs and snacks.

Tokyo Mt.Fuji Hamamatsu
This morning we make our way towards the Mount Fuji area. Gotemba Peace Park is known for its majestic views of Mt
Fuji. Then, We will visit the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Centre. The centre was designed by the world-renowned architect
Shigeru Ban and featured unique architecture that blends into the natural environment of Mt. Fuji. The building is shaped
like a giant cone, and its wooden lattice facade is designed to reflect the surrounding forest. Inside the centre, visitors can
learn about the history and geology of Mt. Fuji, as well as the cultural significance of the mountain in Japanese art and
literature.
We then continue to Hamamatsu, where we spend the evening at leisure.

Hamamatsu Osaka
Today, we visit Iga-ryu Ninja Museum. The Iga-ryu Ninja Museum is a popular tourist destination located in Iga City, Mie
Prefecture, Japan. The museum is dedicated to the history and culture of the ninja, a group of highly-skilled and secretive
spies and warriors who were active in feudal Japan.. Afterwards, we continue to one of Japan’s most famous landmarks,
Osaka Castle.
Osaka Castle is a wonderfully preserved example of Japanese architecture built in 1583 as a centre of a new, unified
Japan. It was built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi in the late 16th century and played a significant role in the unification of Japan
during the feudal era.
We then continue to the Dotonbori district. Dotonbori is a lively entertainment and shopping district located in the heart
of Osaka, Japan. It is known for its vibrant atmosphere, colourful neon lights, and the large billboards of the Glico running
man and the Kani Doraku crab, which have become iconic symbols of the area.

Osaka Kyoto Osaka
This morning, we board the technological marvel, the shinkansen bullet train, from Osaka to Kyoto. Travelling at
speeds up to 280km/h, the shinkansen offers passengers a supercut of the beautiful Japanese countryside.
The first stop in Kyoto is Fushimi Inari Taisha, one of the most iconic sights in Japan with thousands of red Shinto shrine
gates. The shrine is dedicated to Inari, the Shinto god of rice, and is famous for its thousands of vermilion torii gates that
form a winding path through the forested hills of Mount Inari. We strolled through the gates and visited the various shrines
and temples.
Afterwards, we continue to the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove for an enchanting walk through the towering bamboo forest.
Aside from the bamboo grove, visitors can also explore other attractions in the Arashiyama district, including the
Togetsukyo Bridge, which offers a picturesque view of the Katsura River and the surrounding mountains.
Our last stop in Kyoto is the World Heritage-list Golden Pavilion, also known as Kinkaku-ji. It is renowned for its stunning
golden facade, covered in gold leaf and reflects beautifully in the pond in front of it the temple. The three-story pagoda-
style structure was originally built in the 14th century as a retirement villa for a shogun and was later converted into a
temple by his son.

Osaka Himeji Hiroshima
After breakfast, we make our way to Hiroshima. Enroute, we stop at Himeji Castle, often called the White Heron Castle
due to its elegant design.
Himeji Castle is one of Japan’s last remaining original medieval castles. This, as well as its imposing size and artistc design, make it one of the most spectacular sights in Japan.
Enjoy your time here before we continue on to Hiroshima.

Hiroshima Osaka
Today, we begin our day with a trip to Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima Island. The shrine and its torii gate are unique
for being built over water, appearing to float on the sea during high tide.
We then head back to Hiroshima city to visit the sprawling grounds of the Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb
Dome, both of which commemorate the victims of the atomic bomb used in World War II.
Afterwards we make our way back to Osaka.

At an appropriate time, your driver will transfer you to the airport for your homeward flight.

How to book and Payments
AVG Travels offers you a pay in “3 Instalment Payment Plan” as follows
- First payment: $300 per person deposit due at time of booking
- Second payment: $3,000 per person due 7 days after the initial booking.
- Final payment: Balance due 120 days before your departure date.

If you change your mind within 7 days of making your booking, you can request a full refund of your initial deposit. Please note, after 7 days, our standard terms and conditions apply.

Flight Information
This package includes return flights from Sydney/Melbourne.
Flights from Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth attract a $400 surcharge.
Airline Selection: We book the best available airlines for your journey, which may include a mix of full-service and low-cost carriers. Specific airline requests can be made at the time of purchase. This includes upgrades to your preferred carrier, premium economy or business class cabins or specific seats. Whilst we will try our best, not all requests can be confirmed.
Flight Conditions: Flights may not be direct and could involve a maximum of two transits.
Ticketing Information: Once issued, tickets are non-refundable. Changes are subject to airline rules, airline change fees, and an AVG Travel change fee of $250 per person.
Passenger Details: Please ensure all traveller names are as per passports. This includes all middle names. Errors may incur a name change fee of $150 plus airline charges, or require the purchase of a new ticket.
Flight Schedule Changes: Any changes or cancellations to airline schedules are outside our control. We recommend staying updated with airline schedules before departure. Additional expenses for extended transits or alternative arrangements are the traveller’s responsibility.
Internal Airfares: Local flights included in your itinerary may utilise low-cost carriers without meals or entertainment. Checked baggage is included; any additional baggage fees are payable at check-in.
Booking Considerations: If travelling with others on separate bookings, we may not be able to guarantee all flights are the same due to availability.
Luggage and Fees: You are responsible for your luggage at all times. Excess baggage fees, if incurred, are payable directly to the airline. All tickets will include 20 kg checked baggage per person, plus 7 kg of hand luggage. We recommend travelling with a max 20kg per person due to restrictions on internal flights (where applicable), as well as coach and train transportation. Please note, you will be responsible for handling your luggage at all times as the services of porters are not included.
No-Show Policy: Missing your flight may result in fees including a no-show fee, airline reissue fee, and possible new ticket purchase. AVG Travels charges a $250 admin fee for re-booking assistance.
Price Adjustments: Prices are final at the time of ticketing. Any subsequent changes may result in additional costs due to factors beyond our control, such as currency fluctuations or airline surcharges.

Physical Requirements
A reasonable level of fitness is required. Participants should be comfortable navigating stairs, boarding and disembarking from the coach, and walking reasonable distances, typically around 2 km per day or more. Please disclose any physical conditions at the time of booking to assess suitability for the tour.
Tipping
A friendly reminder that tipping is not included in your package. Please be advised that tipping for tour guides, drivers and bellmen are required and will be collected by your travel consultant 7 days before you depart. A gratuity of $10 per person/day can make a big difference to locals employed in the tourism industry as they have done an impeccable job to serve you through your holiday. Please note that tipping is not the norm in Japan.

Visa & Passport information
It is the traveller’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport. The passport must be valid for a minimum of six months from the intended date of return and must have more than 2 blank pages. Visa conditions are subject to change at short notice, so it is the responsibility of the traveller to consult with the relevant consulates to ensure they have the appropriate visa for entry to the countries being visited.
Australians are eligible for Japan’s visa exemption scheme for short-stay tourism and business travel. You don’t need a visa if you’re visiting for less than 90 days.

Tour Documentation
Final documentation, including e-tickets and hotel details, will be provided approximately 30 days prior to travel.
Children
Children must be 2 years old or over and share a room with parents at all times. Children are priced at the same price as adults.
Japanese coach companies do not provide baby seats, we require customers to bring their own. We cannot guarantee the compatibility of these seats with the coach’s seating arrangements.
We generally recommend that children be over 2 years old, as some itineraries may involve 2-3 hours or even longer of coach travel at a time, which can be challenging for younger children.
Tour Length
The total length of the tour in days includes time spent in flight and is subject to change depending on the flight schedule, please refer to the day by day itinerary for the time spent on land.

How to Extend Your Stay
