Welcome to Cairo!
Your unforgettable journey begins in the vibrant city of Cairo. Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport (CAI), you’ll be warmly greeted by our local representative who will assist with immigration and customs formalities. You’ll then be privately transferred to your hotel for check-in. Take the rest of the day to relax after your journey or enjoy a stroll through the bustling streets of Cairo.

After breakfast, embark on a guided exploration of Egypt’s most iconic treasures. Stand before the Great Pyramids of Giza, the last surviving wonder of the ancient world. Marvel at the enigmatic Sphinx, guarding the plateau with its lion’s body and human face. Continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum, , the world’s largest museum dedicated to ancient Egypt.
Later, transfer to Cairo’s rail station and board your comfortable sleeper train to Aswan.

How to book and Payments
AVG Travels offers you a “Instalment Payment Plan”, you will be required to settle a small deposit followed by a series of instalments when you select to book your departure tour.
- First payment: You will be required to settle a $300 per person deposit online through our website link
- Second payment: You will be required to settle the second payment $800 per person after 7 days when you receive our company invoice
- Third payment: $800 per person due within 40 days of deposit
- Final payment: Final payment will be collected 120 days before your departure.
However, you will have a 7-day cooling off period. Please refer to the “Flexible Cancellation” section.
Flexible Cancellation
If you change your mind within 7 days of making your booking online, you can request a refund of your initial deposit payment. Once your purchase date falls outside of the 7-day period, our standard terms and conditions will apply.

This is a land only package that excludes international flights from Australia.
If you would like to add airfares to your booking, please select the departure city where we have the economy return flights add-on for your selection. It is the traveller’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport. The passport must be valid for a minimum of six months from the intended date of return and must have more than 2 blank pages.

A visa is required to enter Egypt at a cost of USD44 for a single-entry visa and USD79 for a multiple-entry visa (subject to change).
You can obtain a tourist visa on arrival. Please ensure you have a non-Egyptian credit card or US dollars in cash. Bring the required amount, as ATMs may not disperse USD or other foreign currency.

JORDAN
A visa is required for all visitors to Jordan. Upon arrival, you can obtain a single-entry visa, which is valid for up to 30 days, at a cost of JOD 40.
Be sure to double-check that all information on your visa application matches exactly what appears in your passport, including your full name and date of birth. Any mistakes or missing details may result in entry refusal or additional fees to correct the visa at the airport.
