This morning, we’ll gather with our fellow travelers for breakfast before embarking on an exploration of Canada’s most cosmopolitan city – Toronto. We’ll visit the provincial parliament buildings, the scenic waterfront, the impressive CN Tower, and the vibrant Chinatown. Afterward, we’ll depart the city and head towards the Niagara Peninsula. As we travel along the shores of Lake Ontario, we’ll pass through charming towns and communities on our way to Niagara Falls. You’ll have time to admire the falls and enjoy some of the many activities available in the area. Return to Toronto late this afternoon where the evening is at leisure.

Leaving the Toronto skyline behind, head east towards Ottawa. Our journey takes us through picturesque rolling farmland and along the scenic rivers and lakes of the Rideau Waterway. Upon arriving in Ottawa, embark on a sightseeing tour of the national capital. The city, characterized by the UNESCO World Heritage-designated Rideau Canal and the impressive government buildings on Parliament Hill, boasts many attractions including the public gardens, Byward Market, and City Hall. Explore the historic old city, including its ornate city gates, Lower Town, the Citadel, and Battlefields Park. Overnight stay in the Quebec City region.

You have the day free to further explore the wonders of this charming city at our own pace. You might choose to join an optional full-day excursion available to purchase on tour to Tadoussac, which includes a 3-hour whale-watching tour on the St. Lawrence River at the mouth of the Saguenay River. Board a boat to seek out these magnificent creatures. Additionally, you’ll visit the breathtaking Montmorency Falls, which are 30 meters higher than the renowned Niagara Falls.

Leaving Quebec City, travel along the St. Lawrence River, retracing the steps of early settlers. Upon reaching Montreal, explore the second-largest French-speaking city in the world. A transfer will escort you to Toronto’s Pearson International Airport for your flight over the expansive prairie grainfields of central Canada, heading towards Calgary. After landing in Calgary, you’ll proceed to your downtown hotel. The remainder of the afternoon is free for you to relax and explore the city at your own pace. Enjoy some personal time to discover Calgary’s attractions, perhaps visiting local shops, cafes, or landmarks.

This morning, we gather with fellow travelers for breakfast before embarking on a tour of Calgary’s captivating sights. We marvel at both modern and historic landmarks, including the Calgary Tower, Fort Calgary, and the towering skyscrapers of the downtown district. As we bid farewell to Calgary, the majestic Rocky Mountains loom in the distance, beckoning us closer.

Our journey leads us through the picturesque foothills before entering Banff National Park, where we’re greeted by the awe-inspiring beauty of snow-capped peaks, glistening glaciers, and serene emerald lakes. We explore the enchanting surroundings of Banff, visiting iconic landmarks such as the Banff Springs Hotel, Bow Falls, and Tunnel Mountain. Tonight, we settle in Canmore for a well-deserved overnight stay.

Today’s journey follows the historic Trans-Canada Highway, tracing a route first explored by railroad engineers and fur traders in the mid-1800s. Continuing our exploration of Canada’s national parks, we traverse Kicking Horse Pass into Yoho National Park in British Columbia. Along the highway, we’re treated to stunning vistas of expansive icefields, deep canyons, dense forests, and crystal-clear glacier-fed streams.

The landscape continues to captivate as we proceed through Glacier National Park, marveling at the rugged beauty of the Monashee and Selkirk mountain ranges. Our route eventually leads us to the rugged interior town of Kamloops, where we settle in for the night, reflecting on the day’s breathtaking journey through Western Canada’s diverse and majestic landscapes.
