Welcome to Mexico City!
On arrival into Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juárez (MEX), upon entering into the arrivals hall, you will be met by a local representative and transferred to your accommodation.
Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure, making use of the hotel amenities or exploring the picturesque surroundings. Please note that the sequence of activities may vary based on the day of your arrival to accommodate all planned activities.

Following a delicious breakfast at the hotel, your guide will be waiting for you around 9 am to begin the day’s exploration. The first stop will be the historic centre, starting with the Zocalo, the main square of the city, followed by visits to the Metropolitan Cathedral and the National Palace, renowned for its murals by the celebrated artist Diego Rivera. Next, we will visit the Anthropological Museum, a prestigious institution preserving Mexico’s indigenous heritage for nearly half a century.
After this comprehensive 5-hour tour, you have the option to return to the hotel or continue exploring independently. Alternatively, you can enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel on your own. In the evening, at 7:30 pm, transportation will be provided from your hotel to the Bellini restaurant for a delightful dinner experience, complete with a local beverage. This unique dining venue is the sole revolving restaurant in Mexico City, offering spectacular panoramic views of the city lights and serving both traditional Mexican and international cuisines.
Following dinner, before returning to the hotel, we will make a stop at Plaza Garibaldi, a vibrant nightlife hub famous for its Mariachi bands, traditional dances, and delightful beverages.

Upon arriving at the tranquil waters of the Xochimilco canals and its floating gardens, you’ll experience a picturesque cruise aboard a traditional trajinera or pre-Hispanic boat, amidst one of the last vestiges of the Aztec era. Learn about the history of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, originally founded as a pre-Columbian city on the shores of Lake Xochimilco, just south of Mexico City. Enjoy delectable dishes and traditional drinks as you navigate the canals surrounded by floating gardens, often serenaded by authentic Mariachi bands performing beloved Mexican melodies.
Following this enchanting cruise, we’ll briefly visit Coyoacan, renowned as the cultural heart of Mexico City, a haven that has inspired countless national and international artists. Explore the neighbourhood’s 16th-century mansions and the historic San Bautista Church. Within this district lies the Frida Kahlo Museum, famously known as “The Blue House,” where the esteemed Latin American artist once resided. Following breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up from the lobby for a captivating day of exploration. You will visit two remarkable ceremonial centres: the contemporary Basilica of Guadalupe and the ancient Teotihuacan, reflecting the religious evolution of the Mexican people.
Your journey begins with a transfer to the “Plaza de las Tres Culturas”, where Tlatelolco, the largest market in pre-Columbian Mexico, once thrived. Here, you’ll enjoy a panoramic view of the esplanade and the archaeological zone. Next, you will proceed to the Basilica of Guadalupe, Mexico’s largest religious sanctuary, home to the revered image of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Explore its atrium and interior before continuing to Teotihuacan, known as the “place where the gods were created.”
Teotihuacan boasts over 2,500 years of history and significant cultural development, characterised by its textiles of natural fibres and obsidian exchanges for tools, topics which will be elaborated upon during a stop before entering the archaeological zone. Inside this enigmatic site, you will visit the temples of “Quetzalpapalotl” (butterfly bird), the “feathered snails,” and the majestic Pyramid of the Moon. The tour continues with visits to the Citadel and the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, culminating with the awe-inspiring Pyramid of the Sun.

Continuing our exploration, we’ll stroll along one of Oaxaca’s principal streets, adorned with cobblestones and green quarry, leading to the Tourist Walkway. Concluding our magical tour, we will visit the bustling folkloric markets: El Mercado Benito Juárez, renowned for its traditional offerings where you can purchase and compare crafts such as black clay and Alebrijes. Gain insights into the Mayan culture and hear enchanting legends associated with this ancient site.
Highlights of the tour include visits to the Pyramid of the Magician, the Governor’s Palace, the Temple of the Masks, and the Quadrangle of the Nuns, among other notable Mayan structures. Depart from Mérida to visit one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, Chichen Itza. Journey through the rainforests of the Yucatan Peninsula to discover the legendary Mayan city of Chichen Itza, meticulously unearthed from the jungle. Learn about the Maya civilization while marvelling at the grandeur and intricacies of this ancient city.
Marvel at the geometric precision of the 25-metre-high Kukulkan Temple, also known as El Castillo, which was constructed to represent the Mayan mystical calendar and creates the optical illusion of a snake ascending or descending the pyramid during the spring and autumn equinoxes. Explore the Great Ball Court, the largest of the thirteen courts found at the site, and observe the chilling Skull Platform, where the heads of sacrificial victims and prisoners of war were displayed. Visit the Sacred Cenote, where sacrifices were made.

sia Vacation Group offers you a “Instalment Payment Plan”, you will be required to settle a small deposit followed by a series of instalments when you select to book your departure tour.
- First payment: You will be required to settle $300 per person deposit online through our website link.
- Second payment: You will be required to settle the second payment $2,000 per person after 7 days when you receive our company invoice
- Third payment: $1,000 per person due within 40 days of deposit payment
- Fourth payment: $1,000 per person due within 40 days of deposit payment
- Final payment: Final payment will be collected 120 days before your departure
However, you will have 7-day cooling off period. Please refer to “Flexible Cancellation” section.

Physical Requirements
A reasonable level of fitness is required. Participants should be comfortable navigating stairs, boarding and disembarking from the coach and ship, and walking reasonable distances, typically around 2 kilometres per day or more. Visa & Passport Information
It is the traveller’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport. The passport must be valid for a minimum of six months from the intended date of return and must have more than 2 blank pages.
AU Passport holders
No visa is required if you are travelling to Mexico for less than 180 days.

Children

The total length of the tour in days includes time spent in flight and is subject to change depending on the flight schedule, please refer to the day by day itinerary for the time spent on land.

- Please note that there are ongoing road works on the access road to the Cancun Airport which are affecting the traffic. As it is required to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours prior to departure we suggest booking an additional night stay in Cancun
- The itinerary order may change depending on the weekday of arrival (in order to make all activities)

What should I bring?
Comfortable and light clothing is the most suitable for travelling in Mexico. However, the climate can be wet and cold, especially in winter, therefore we recommend to bring warm clothes, a raincoat and umbrella. Visitors should not wear sleeveless shirts, shorts, short skirts or skimpy clothing when visiting temples, religious or official buildings. Sun protection, sunglasses, a hat and mosquito repellent can be very useful during your stay.
How to Extend Your Stay
You can enhance your holiday by arriving or departing before or after the tour. On this tour you can pay extra for arriving early or extending your trip.
