Welcome to Rome!
On arrival into Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport (FCO), upon entering into the arrivals hall, you will be met by a local representative and transferred to your accommodation.
Today is free to discover Rome with your included 24 hour hop-on hop-off bus ticket. Enjoy panoramic views of Rome’s iconic landmarks from a unique perspective on the open-top buses. Simply board the bus, relax, listen to the informative audio commentary and hop on or off at any of the eight stops along the route. Your bus ticket is valid for the entire day, providing ample time to explore at your own pace.
After your bus tour, the evening is yours to enjoy independently. Return to the hotel at your leisure for an overnight stay.

Meet your tour leader and fellow travellers this morning before departing at 7:15 am from your hotel via a deluxe coach bound for Florence. En route, we’ll stop at the mediaeval walled town of Assisi, where you’ll have ample time to explore independently. Take the opportunity to visit the Basilica of St. Francis, home to masterpieces by Giotto and Cimabue. Afterward, enjoy free time for lunch (not included).
Continuing on our journey, we’ll board the bus to reach Siena, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for the Palio, a historic horse race held in the shell-shaped town square, Piazza del Campo. You’ll have time to discover this beautiful city on your own. Finally, we’ll proceed to Florence, where you’ll check in at your hotel and then enjoy dinner and a well-deserved night’s rest.

Florence
After breakfast, join a guided morning tour of Florence, the “Cradle of the Renaissance,” where Italian art reached its pinnacle with Michelangelo’s influence. The city, rooted in Etruscan-Roman origins, flourished as a free “Comune” in the Middle Ages and blossomed during the Renaissance. Marvel at Santa Maria del Fiore, known as the Duomo, showcasing Filippo Brunelleschi’s impressive dome. Explore the nearby “Campanile” tower, partly by Giotto, and the Baptistery with its iconic bronze doors, imagined by Michelangelo as the “Gates of Paradise.” Discover Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo della Signoria (Palazzo Vecchio), and the Basilica of Santa Croce. Following our tour we enjoy lunch at a typical Tuscan restaurant in Piazza Santa Croce.

After breakfast in Florence, we set off for the elegant city of Bologna. Upon arrival, the charming city centre, distinguished by its iconic porticos, invites you to explore at your own leisure. Start your walk at Piazza Malpighi, leading to the heart of the city at Piazza del Nettuno and Piazza Maggiore. Here, admire the historic Palazzo Podestà and the Basilica of San Petronio, the world’s largest Gothic brick-built church. Discover why Bologna is celebrated as Italy’s gastronomic capital, sampling its vibrant street food scene. Wander through mediaeval streets lined with food stalls and markets offering a tempting array of traditional and contemporary treats. Enjoy a light lunch of street food at a local eatery, included in your experience, to taste the authentic flavours of Bologna. Later in the afternoon, we journey onward to Venice (Mestre). After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Piazza San Marco to explore Venice’s iconic landmarks with your expert guide. Our route leads us through the enchanting Val di Chiana, where we pause to explore Montepulciano, a captivating mediaeval town steeped in rich history and artistic treasures. Montepulciano is famed for its “Nobile” wine, available for tasting and purchase at local wine cellars nestled within the town’s ancient walls. Beyond its exceptional wines, Montepulciano offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and boasts a cultural heritage that includes impressive architecture and charming streets lined with artisan shops.
A delightful lunch awaits at a traditional restaurant, included as part of the tour, allowing you to savour authentic Tuscan flavours. Following lunch, there’s time to wander independently, perhaps exploring more of Montepulciano’s hidden corners or simply soaking in its timeless ambiance before we return to Rome in the evening.

Between 7:45 – 8:00 am, following breakfast, depart from your hotel to begin the included tour of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica, benefiting from our exclusive “Skip the Line” access. Bypass the long queues as upon arrival, your guide will usher you directly into the museums, where you’ll encounter one of the world’s most significant art collections. How to book and Payments
Asia Vacation Group offers you a “3 Instalment Payment Plan”, you will be required to settle a small deposit followed by a series of instalments when you select to book your departure tour.
- First payment: You will be required to settle $300 per person deposit online through our website link.
- Second payment: You will be required to settle the second payment $2,000 per person after 7 days when you receive our company invoice.
- Final payment: Final payment will be collected 120 days before your departure.
However, you will have 7-day cooling off period. Please refer to “Flexible Cancellation” section.
Flexible Cancellation
If you change your mind within 7 days of making your booking online, you can request a refund of your initial deposit payment. Once your purchase date falls outside of the 7-day period, our standard terms and conditions will apply.

Flight Information
This is a land package only.
If you would like to add airfares to your booking, please select the departure city where we have the economy return flights add-on for your selection. If you would like to book the business class or premium class, please contact us anytime and our ticketing expert would assist you. Currently we use Emirates Airlines or similar.

We understand customers may wish to request changes to their included airfares. If you wish to fly with a certain airline, land at a certain time or change your flight in other ways we will gladly provide you with a personalized quote tailored to your specific requirements.

Physical Requirements
A reasonable level of fitness is required. Participants should be comfortable navigating stairs, boarding and disembarking from the coach, and walking reasonable distances, typically around 2 kilometres per day or more. Visa & Passport information
It is the traveller’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport. The passport must be valid for a minimum of six months from the intended date of return and must have more than 2 blank pages.
AU Passport holders:
You do not need a visa for Italy if you are staying less than 90 days. Travellers require a passport valid for at least 3 months after the traveller exits the country.

Children
Children under the age of 6 years will not be permitted to travel on this tour.
