Cape Town
Discover the breathtaking heights of Table Mountain, soaring above the clouds in Cape Town. As one of the city’s most iconic landmarks and one of the most photographed sites in South Africa, Table Mountain is recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of Nature. Since the aerial cableway began operating in 1929, over 22 million visitors from around the world have ascended to its summit. At the upper cable station, guests can enjoy a restaurant, a curio shop, and scenic footpaths perfect for exploration.
A drive through the city center highlights historic landmarks such as the Castle of Good Hope (built in 1666), City Hall, and the Grand Parade. As you travel along Adderley Street, you’ll pass St. George’s Cathedral, the Company Gardens, and the vibrant Malay Quarter, also known as Bo-Kaap—named “Above Cape” for its location on the slopes of Table Mountain. In the early 18th century, enslaved individuals from Java, Ceylon, and other regions were brought to Cape Town, and after the abolition of slavery, their descendants, the Cape Malays, established this culturally rich community.
This evening, enjoy a traditional South African experience as you dine at the Gold Restaurant. The dinner begins with the drumbeat of the djembe drum and an interactive drum circle and you will then be lead into a courtyard where you will ceremoniously wash your hands before the feast begins. This 14 course set menu is authentically Cape Malay and African cuisine, while you are entertained by live performances near your table. Gold restaurant inspires and immerses you into the spirit of Africa while you savour delicious cuisine.

Morning Game Drive:
Before the African sun begins to warm the bushveld, the safari departs from Umbhaba Eco Lodge in Hazyview. Early mornings are the prime time to witness wildlife in action, as predators like leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, and lions are most active during the cooler hours. The game drive lasts approximately three hours before a breakfast break at a scenic picnic spot or rest camp.
After breakfast or a light snack, guests will visit nearby waterholes, where animals gather to quench their thirst before the heat of the day sets in. Our highly experienced and certified guides ensure an informative and immersive safari experience.
What to Bring: Sunblock, a hat, sunglasses, comfortable shoes, warm clothing for winter months, and a rain jacket during summer. Mineral water is provided on all safaris.
Afternoon Game Drive:

Watering holes become hotspots for activity as animals seek to cool down, and few sights are as captivating as elephants playfully splashing in the river.
As the day transitions to evening and the park nears closing time, wildlife activity increases, enhancing the chances of remarkable sightings.
