Kruger National Park
Explore the world famous Kruger National Park on a game drive.
Bring your binoculars and keep your eyes peeled as you search for the Big-5: lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros and African buffalo.
Pending the time of day, you will visit different locations within the park – in the AM, the open spaces are best for viewing ‘game’ as they go in search of their next meal, or their resting spot for the day. In the PM, watering holes are a popular spot as many animals will be looking to cool down.
There is no ‘best time’ to go on a game drive – the experiences are always different and unpredictable!
AM game drive:
October to March
5:30am to 12noon
April to September
6:00am to 12noon
More time spent in the open areas as this is prime time for viewing animals on the move in search for a kill or heading for their resting spot for the day.
PM game drive:
October to March
1:30pm to 6:00pm
April to September
1:30pm to 5:30pm
Animals are generally move active later in the day as the heat dissipates. A good time to visit the waterholes as animals are here cooling down.
